 Early Childhood Foundation Teacher with experience of working with 2-3 year olds. Preferably from the UK, Australia or NZ (they use the UK curriculum) and with an Early Childhood qualification and experience teaching in pre-school settings. Experience with taking music classes would be of additional benefit – 23rd February 2010

This international school at Dongguan has been in operation for four years and extended itself into primary school education last year. They are planning on opening up all 6 grades of primary school for the new school year (September 2009). They only have a handful of primary students right now in year 1 and year 2 but they have an opportunity to grow next year due to their having 39 students in K2 ready to go into primary school. The school is located in a prestigious housing estate, Dynatown, and attracts children and staff from many different nationalities. The school offers a child-responsive curriculum where children learn through inquiry. The school environment offers extensive indoor and outdoor areas as well as resources for children to explore and learn.


Benefits include: Salary depending on experience and qualification and is12,000RMB per calendar month which includes a housing allowance. There is also additional salary allowances for experience and qualifications, e.g. 2000 RMB per month for an appropriate degree. In addition there are salary allowances for experience, so the package is likely to approach RMB 18-20,000 for a qualified and experienced candidate. The rates for 2010-2011 are yet to be set so this is information is a guide rather than the actual salary. Living in Dongguan is very cheap and it provides a great lifestyle. The city is new and there is a wonderful, friendly atmosphere there.
