Lombok ELC

Indonesian Curriculum (not dissimilar to Australian) Minimum 2 years teaching experience, post qualification. NOR 113 aged 3-16 years old Type : Local Expatriate, Broadly Expatriate, Bilingual.

The school are considering opening an ‘English Language Centre’ where afternoon and early evening classes cater for a range of audiences, including extension and remedial classes for secondary students, English preparation classes for prospective students, as well as to adults in business or education in the local community. They envisage that the successful applicant for this position will teach in this centre and may share leadership of its development. A higher duties allowance will be negotiated for this position.


This is a bilingual national-plus school providing an integrated international and Indonesian education to the children of Lombok. It is licensed under Indonesian law as a private school, including kindergarten, primary and junior and senior secondary departments. In July 2009 they will be staring SMA at Year 10. It provides the only international standard and style of education available in Lombok. The school offers a high standard international-style education for both expatriate and Indonesian children. In Lombok, close to the beach and surrounded by green fields, the school is situated in the Montong area and is only a short drive from Ampenan, Mataram and Cakranegara to the south and Senggigi to the north. Living in Lombok is interesting and enjoyable. International teachers report easy-going and friendly people who are quick to smile and give a helping hand. The climate is tropical. It is easy and cheap to get around, with a large range of transport available. Budget travel to Bali and a range of other Indonesian and South East Asian locations is easy and affordable.
