At its two schools in London, it provides a wide range of General, Examination and Business English courses. The London School of English Tbilisi is looking for a native-speaker DOS to lead and manage an experienced and dedicated team of qualified teachers.
The language centre has a well-established local reputation, having operated for 12 years, and has recently joined the London School of English Group.
The centre currently offers mostly General English programmes, as well as some Business English, Examination English and English for Younger Learners programmes.
This is a full-time position and presents an excellent opportunity for a candidate committed and able to work to high ELT standards.
Start dates:
The post will commence in two phases.
Envisaged start date in Tbilisi: late November/December 2010
Envisaged induction/training period in London: late October/early November 2010
The induction/training phase is likely to include a period of teaching at The London School of English (www.londonschool.com) in the UK.
The exact start date length and timing of these two phases is able to take account of the experience and availability of the successful candidate.
Main duties:
- Day-to-day management of the centre’s academic operations
- 6 hours of teaching per week (plus cover teaching when required)
- Overseeing and delivering ongoing teacher development
- Some courses and materials development

Qualifications
- University degree
- CELTA
- DELTA (or equivalent)
Experience:
- Teacher management, development and/or training experience
- Experience of working overseas
- Previous DOS or ADOS experience desirable
Compensation
- Renewable 12-month contract
- Net monthly salary of 1,300 - 1,500 euros* (according to experience and qualifications)
