This Education Centre in Zhongshan, South China delivers a western education for talented Chinese students and to a lesser extent, western ex pat children. Students who attend the centre are looking to gain entry into western universities. The centre has been opened since January 2011 and seeks a tutor to deliver both Mathematics and English at a secondary level. Those with an ESL background are at an advantage. Pupils attending the centre are at KS4 and KS5 level (Years 10 - 12).
The centre's aim is to extend students in their knowledge of western curriculum subjects. This is delivered in English and as a tutor you will be working with small class sizes (less than 10 down to 1:1). Behaviour management issues are non existent. The average working week is 25 hours and you will teach outside typical school hours.
To be considered for this role you must meet the following
1. Hold a minimum BA Certificate. (3 years tertiary training). Preferably in Mathematics or English.
2. Have English as your first/native language
4. Be able to make a minimum 3 month commitment starting during April 2012.
Those that also hold an ESL qualification will be looked upon favourably.
Package
a. A salary of between 10000 - 14000RMB ($2200AUD/$2700NZD/1400 pounds) per month. Factors determining salary include experience and length of commitment.

c. Travel allowance (at end of contract)

f. Mobile phone allowance
Note/ Gratuity is offered on a 12 month+ contract
Zhongshan is known as the "Garden City" and is located in Southern China. Hong Kong is a 90 minute ferry trip away and Macau an hour. Cost of living is extremely cheap and one can expect to live a very good lifestyle on less than $1000AUD a month.
