Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Teaching English in class. Teachers at the academy would be required to be devoted to students, excellent in training and delivering innovative lectures.
• Pre-class preparation (lesson plans, flashcards, story cards, books, cut-outs, games, printouts and a variety of other instruments for teaching in class)
• Monitoring, assessing as well as reporting students’ progress, with a variety of methods including carrying out formal class tests and preparing student’s progress reports
• Active participation and attendance of out of class and external events (picnics, exhibitions, sales and promotions)
• Fill-in for someone else if there is a need
• Attending meetings with management, other teachers, parents, as well as students
• Assisting other teachers in class if there is a need
• Delivering exciting, engaging and valuable lessons to the students, following the already prepared lesson plans and using teaching material provided by the Academy
• Maintain high level of interactions (discussions/debates) inside/outside class as well as ability to contribute to the “Haven free reading” community
• Contact and assist parents to help them understand their students’ performances
• Be up-to-date in knowing what are latest best methods of teaching in the market
• Make dedicated efforts to help improve quality of teaching and students
• Proactively give constructive feedback on lessons and a variety of matters to management and other teachers
Requirements:
• Foreign teachers as well as native English speakers are preferred
• Vietnamese individuals that have lived abroad are also welcomed
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• At least a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (Teaching and Education related degrees are preferred, although other degrees are still welcomed)
• Experience in teaching and training are advantageous, but not essential

Before any of the candidates are officially offered a place at the Academy, they have to go through the following stages:
Stage 1: The interview
Stage 2: Voluntary observation
Stage 3: Compulsory observation
Stage 4: Partial teaching and leading in class
Stage 5: Official training
Stage 6: Evaluative teaching
Before each stage the candidates will have a meeting with the management for discussions and updates on the details, regarding responsibilities of each of the parties during the stage, benefits and remuneration.
