Great College Positions in Malaysia Hiring Now. Enjoy Beautiful Malaysia & a Great Compensation Package!
About the Opportunity
Footprints is pleased to announce the opening of new college teaching positions in Malaysia. We're recruiting several positions for colleges in the Malaysian states of Pahang, Perak, Terengganu and Negeri Sembilan. These states are all located on the Malaysian mainland.

This is a great opportunity for teachers who like to make the step up to teaching at a higher level and work with young adults. Class sizes are small, up to 10 students, and teachers can make a real difference in one-on-one knowledge transfer. As you may expect from high-quality jobs, teachers are provided with airfare to and from Malaysia, single furnished housing or a housing allowance and health insurance.
Salaries are dependent on qualifications and experience and are in all cases enough for a comfortable standard of living. Next to national public holidays teachers have 14 personal leave days and 14 sick/medical days.
Job Highlights
Work with small class sizes and very engaged students
Live and work in a beautiful and friendly country
Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package

About the country

As a former British colony, Malaysia has a long tradition of ties with Britain and the English language, and you'll notice that English is quite widely spoken making it one of the easiest countries to get around in in Asia.

Malaysian culture is a melting pot of several distinct local flavours. Malaysians, Chinese, Indians, Tamils and many other smaller cultures have called this country home for a long time and have all left their mark on culture, regligion, art and cuisine. Especially the latter is typically greatly appreciated by expatriates living in Malaysia.

About Teaching in Malaysia
Teachers will be placed in mostly rural and suburban locations. For rural placements, teachers will be provided with housing within a 10 minute commute to the school. Work visas will be fully paid for by the employer. Additionally, staff receives 6 hours per month of in-class training to improve teaching skills.
A usual school day starts at 8:15 am and ends at 5:00 pm with a two-hour lunch break. For most Western people a two hour lunch break is very long, but it's a great example of the local culture where life moves just a little slower than in the West. Although Malaysia is largely muslim country, it adheres to the regular Monday to Friday work week.

Note: This opportunity requires a TESL/TEFL certification and at least 2 years experience. At present the school is only hiring teachers fromAustralia, New Zealand, and the UK.
